My Grandad moved to Melton Court after losing my Grandma and feeling lonely. It was hands down one of the best decisions he ever made. He spent many happy years here and it gave him a new lease of life. He attended bridge club, was a keen member of the owners committee and frequently enjoyed the themed evenings and dinners. He made lots of lovely new friends and went on many cruises with them too. His life started again in his 80s which was amazing. It was my mother’s choice to move to Melton Court and one she never regretted. Her apartment was light and airy and it was a relief to know the super friendly staff were available 24/7. She was very independent, but also loved meeting other apartment owners for coffee in the lounge and film evenings. She also loved the extensive gardens, walking the paths and sitting appreciating the flowers. She maintained her independence, catching the bus to Poole or Bournemouth, shopping at the local Tesco and attending the local church. Melton Court was the right place for my mother and as life became more challenging, the staff were able to support her to remain in her apartment for as long as possible. My mother has been incredibly happy in Melton Court.   She has loved the companionship, the dining room, the afternoon teas and the events that Melton Court hosts.    And ha j g 90 minutes of housecleaning a week is fabulous.   She grew to trust her cleaner implicitly. As she got older, she utilized the amenities that they offer and found it incredibly valuable.  Having someone available 24/7 is invaluable. Melton Court is built on a fabulous model to allow us to grow old safely and with caring staff to watch over us. My father was active and independent when he moved into Melton Court. He very much preferred his own space and time; he valued the ability to remain active for as long as he could. It was inevitable that the situation would change in the future so he felt secure in the knowledge that there would be people around him should he need any assistance. While he didn't take advantage of the many facilities available at Melton Court he was made to feel incredibly welcome and part of the community; he also enjoyed the chance to talk to the people who were around. He told me that he very much liked the modern spacious apartment and especially the natural light with a view of the garden below. It was a great help that he could organise weekly shopping to be delivered to the flat, while still being able to visit the local shops to top up on various items. While he cooked his own meals, he also ordered food from the restaurant to be delivered every now and again. He also appreciated the weekly visits from the cleaner which gave additional help to keep the flat tidy. When we visited it was great to see that he was in a warm friendly environment with such facilities as a residents lounge and restaurant. As we travelled from a distance when visiting, we very much appreciated the ability to book the visitor accommodation. Overall, I would highly recommend Melton Court to anyone looking for a vibrant, safe and enjoyable place to live independently in later life.

My mother-in-law decided to move here the moment she stepped inside Melton Court to view a flat. The welcome and friendliness of the residents overcame her concerns about making the change.
